• Battery Insertion:
  - Replace all batteries at the same time.
  - Slide off both battery covers. Four (4) batteries must be on each side of battery pack.
  - Place the NEGATIVE (-) end of the battery against the front of the spring by pushing the battery in and down in one motion until the battery snaps into place.
  - The POSITIVE (+) end of the battery should be near the positive sign on the battery pack.
  - Replace battery cover.
• Remove the batteries if the Battery Pack is not going to be used for an extended period of time.
• If breastpump does not turn on, make sure the batteries have been inserted properly.
• Each set of batteries will provide approximately 2 hours of pumping time.
• Battery Removal:
  - Slide off the battery covers. Insert a BLUNT, NON-METALLIC tool into the removal slot on either side of the Battery Pack. Gently pry the battery out. Replace the battery covers.
  - The Battery Pack was designed for safe use while stored in its pouch. The pouch fits inside the main bag or motor bag, along with the transformer.
• Danger: To reduce the risk of electrocution:
  - Always unplug electrical products immediately after using.
  - Do not use while bathing.
  - Do not place or store product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  - Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
  - Do not reach for a product if it has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
• Warning: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to persons:
  - A product should never be left unattended when plugged into an electric outlet.
  - Close supervision is necessary when this product is used by, on or near children or invalids.
  - Use the product only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
  - Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
  - Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  - Never use while sleeping or drowsy.
  - Do not use outdoors, or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  - Only use the Medela Pump In Style Battery Pack with the Medela Pump In Style breastpumps.
  - Always inspect power adaptor and battery pack wires prior to use for damage or exposed wire. If damage is found, immediately discountinue use of power adaptor or batttery pack.
