  • When to take measurements
    - It is important that the edema is at its most reduced state. Most often this is found first thing in the morning or at the end of treatment
  • Measuring Instructions
    Ankle Measurement
    - Measure around your ankle (this measurement is called the circumference). Place the measuring tape at the narrowest part of the ankle, above the ankle bone
    - Note: This must always be your first measurement
    Calf Measurement
    - Find the widest part of your calf. Measure the circumference of your calf
    Calf Length
    - Sit on a chair with your legs at a 90-degree angle. Measure the distance from 1 finger below the bend in your knee to the floor
  • Wear and Care
    - Juzo hose should be replaced after six months of normal wear. They start losing their effectiveness after that time
    - If they seem to be getting looser, than you are not receiving the maximum benefits of their compression strength
    - Juzo Compression therapy garments should be washed and dried each night
    - Latex-free garments can be machine washed and dried on low heat settings
    - Do not iron
    - Placing your stockings in a mesh laundry bag will help protect them during the wash cycle
