What to buy with Almost U Style 1200 Camisole Bra?

How To Measure Almost U Mastectomy Bras

How to Determine the Band Size?

  • Wear your bra and use a soft tape measure to go under your bust.
  • Make sure the tape is snug and smooth, going around the lower band of your bra.
  • Check-in a mirror to be sure the tape isn't twisted or loose.
  • Round the measurement to the nearest whole inch. For example, if it's 31-1/2", round up to 32; if it's 31-1/4", round down to 31.
  • If the rounded measurement is even, add 4 inches. If it's odd, add 5 inches. So, if your measurement is 32, add 4 inches to get a band size of 36; if it's 31, add 5 inches for a band size of 36.

How to Determine the Cup Size?

If the user had a unilateral mastectomy:

  • With a bra on and using a soft tape measure, measure the fullest part of the breast. Measurement should be taken from the breastbone to the center of the back on the side that did not have the mastectomy.
  • Double this measurement.
  • Subtract the band size that was determined from the new measurement.
  • Each inch of difference is equal to one cup size.
    1 inch = A Cup
    2 inch = B Cup
    3 inch = C Cup
    4 inch = D Cup
    5 inch = DD/E Cup
    6 inch = DDD/F Cup
    7 inch = G Cup
    8 inch = H Cup
    9 inch = I Cup

If you had a mastectomy on both sides, choose the cup size you prefer. Many women stick with the same size, but some may go up or down a cup or more.
